Molistudio’s latest Rubik series is a creative conversation with emerging artist Peter Tarka about perspective and points of view. This amazing, colorful collection seems to pay homage to famous Dutch graphic artist, Maurits Cornelis Escher, who overturned the normal laws of gravity and fused the art movement of surrealism with a unique 3-dimensional style.
Is Rubik the new, contemporary version of Relativity? Escher’s lithograph was first printed in December of 1953 and it has become a legendary work of surrealist imagery. It presents the visual imagery of a world where the laws of gravity have ceased to exist. The people in the work go about their daily lives walking on the stairways and none seems to be aware that gravity has different rules for different people. While the black, white and grey colors of Escher’s work reflect a dark future, Rubik is a cheerful interpretation of the world with its pink, blue, green and yellow palette. Here, you can see the influence of creative talent Peter Tarka whose typography is simply fun and definitely trendy. The art collaboration with Molistudio also presents relax and fun aspects of dailylife as an electric guitar, vinyls, croissant and marmalade, magnets, fruits and plants among creative sofas, chairs and home accessories. Discover a new home where the ordinary turns into the extraordinary.
